Patch 1.0.2b: combat caps, Hunter, Monk and loot
Combat stat caps, Hunter skills, Monk swords, chest drops, Werewolf Pelt, crafting and Lucky Wheel.
Historical patch notes. Current data uses Patch 1.0.3.
Snapshot at release: Deskrawl 1.0.2b, Steam build 25895065.
Combat stat caps
Cooldown Reduction caps at 80%, previously 85%. General Damage Reduction and each individual damage-type reduction cap at 90%. Verified in native stat-cap and clamp methods. Item bonuses and roll ranges are contributions before character caps; skill previews use base cooldowns before player modifiers. Critical Damage Reduction is a separate stat and is not covered by the 90% cap.
Hunter skills and traps
Multishot base cooldown changes 0.75 → 0.6 seconds; standing/cast timing changes 1 → 0.6 seconds. Shockwave cast range changes 1 → 4.5. Every rank preview has been regenerated; damage coefficients are unchanged. According to the announcement, placing a new trap no longer removes existing traps.
Monk equipment
Monk can now equip Legendary and Divine swords. Serrated Greatsword of Agony and Soulrender add Monk alongside Warrior and Sorcerer. Equipment filters and the Monk class hub include these weapons.
Treasure chests and farming
Mythic Treasure Chest Divine rarity weight increases 0.00005 → 0.00036, or 7.2× stored weight. This is not a final per-chest probability; loot selection and modifiers still apply. Treasure-map dragon drops replace Mythic chests with Golden Treasure Chests. The keep dragon also has an additional Silver Treasure Chest drop entry. Item, enemy and farming-location links use these installed references.
Werewolf Pelt and crafting
Werewolf Pelt is a new Rare material, with an explicit 20% special-drop chance from Bloodmoon Werewolf across difficulties. The announcement calls it unused, but the installed Flask of the Wind (Dodge) recipe consumes 1 Werewolf Pelt + 10 Mushroom. This is a recipe relationship; live crafting has not been tested. Flask of the Swift (Attack Speed) uses Ogre Heart; Flask of the Cruel (Critical Hit Chance) uses Manticore Venom Sac; the Dodge flask uses Werewolf Pelt instead of Demon's Skull. Shoulder upgrades +9 and +10 now require Cinderlord Horns. Recipes, material usage and farming links are regenerated.
Lucky Wheel
One spin costs 12,500 gold, previously 10,000. Installed maximum batch: 100. A skip-animation option is added. Reward quantities and weights are unchanged. Lucky Wheel Gambler.
Runtime and interface fixes
The announcement reports lower RAM usage, fixes for black Warrior/Hunter previews at the lowest graphics setting, and a larger carriage filter dropdown. The 4-piece bonus of Strong Shield of the Atheron correctly triggers on critical-hit kills; swapping the Crimson Guardian removes its extra potion-charge bonus. These runtime changes are documented without a claim of live combat verification.
Verification scope
All 1,720 extracted records were compared: 1 addition, no removals, 14 records with gameplay field changes including the matching beta config, and many exported image-content changes. There are 3 new localization keys, no existing text changes, and no enum or progression graph changes. Item-sale formulas, all 55 equipment roll coefficients, and effective skill rank rules are unchanged. 56 class skills × 10 ranks are independently checked with native tooltip registration, float32 arithmetic and game number formatting. Player saves and server behavior are outside this audit.
