This is where the duo starts clicking. Paladin picks up an Attack buff, Engineer gets Bomb for packs, and Sentry Turret starts adding party crit. The preview is set to Lv10. Buy Rune of Insight for 8,574 gold to unlock TWO active skills per hero; it needs Command I first. What to level Paladin starts with Vital Blessing 5. Add Blessing of Strength at Lv12, then raise it to ranks 2/3/4 at Lv14/16/18. Run Vital Blessing + Blessing of Strength once both are learned. Engineer starts with Chain Shot 5. Learn Bomb 1 at Lv12, then Sentry Turret 1/2/3 at Lv14/16/18. At Lv12, run Bomb + Chain Shot. From Lv14, switch to Bomb + Sentry Turret. Keep Chain Shot's invested ranks: they're needed to unlock Bomb. Turret needs an active slot too, even though it's an aura. Gear to aim for Move into Rare item level 10 gear, starting with weapon/offhand. Keep the selected affixes as your shopping list. Socket unlocks at Lv12 for 2,000 gold; add gems when you can afford it. Ruby helps Attack, Diamond helps health. Don't spend your Insight money on a small gear upgrade. Where to farm — Veil Lv10: 4-1 | Lv11: 4-4 | Lv12: 4-7 | Lv13: 4-9 Lv14: 5-3 | Lv15: 5-6 | Lv16: 5-9 Lv17: 6-2 | Lv18: 6-5 | Lv19: 6-8 Your passive path The saved tree covers Lv10. Origin is free. After that, add one node per level in this order; each ID lines up with the next level from Lv11 to 19. Compare XP over a few minutes and stick with the fastest clean clears. If a stage feels slow or you start dying, drop back 1-3 stages. Clear bosses to unlock the next area; don't get stuck forcing one four levels above you. An XP pet is a bonus if you already own one, not a requirement.
