Notes & strategy

Keep your Engineer! This carries your Paladin + Engineer duo straight into Lv30, then adds Witch for Chaos burst and AoE. Paladin handles healing and Attack buffs, Engineer brings Bomb plus party haste/crit, and Witch works toward Cataclysm. No need to bench a geared Engineer just to try Mage.

Getting the third hero
Buy Command II at Lv30 (47,069g, needs Insight). A fresh Witch starts at Lv1; her Lv30 preview is the catch-up goal. Spend points at her own level: Chaos Thorns 1-5 at Lv2-10, Chaotic Blast 1-5 at Lv12-20, then Corruption 1-5 at Lv22-30. If you used the older Chaos Bolt setup, move those five points into Corruption to open Cataclysm.

Skills at Lv30
Paladin: Vital Blessing 5, Blessing of Strength 5, Purify 5. Run Purify + Strength. This follows the Lv20-29 setup; Strength helps both physical heroes.
Engineer: Chain Shot 5, Bomb 2, Sentry Turret 5, Attack Drone 3. Run Bomb + Drone. Keep Chain Shot and Turret invested as prerequisites, even while inactive.
Witch: Chaos Thorns 5, Chaotic Blast 5, Corruption 5. Run Blast + Corruption.

Lv32-39 upgrades
Paladin: Swiftness 1/2/3/4 at Lv32/34/36/38.
Engineer: Drone 4 at Lv32, Drone 5 at Lv34, Bomb 3 at Lv36, Bomb 4 at Lv38.
Witch: Cataclysm 1/2/3/4 at Lv32/34/36/38. From Lv32, run Blast + Cataclysm.
You have TWO active slots through Lv34. At Lv35, buy Mastery (66,518g): add Swiftness on Paladin, Sentry Turret on Engineer and Corruption on Witch. Auras need active slots too. Don't equip three skills before this unlock.

Gear to aim for
All 14 slots per hero stay Rare, item level 30. Engineer uses Hand Cannon + Voltaic Wrench: keep Attack, crit and Shock/Expose, with health/regen on armor. Paladin keeps heavy armor and sustain; Witch keeps Chaos/Decay gear. Heavy, medium and light armor make loot easy to split.
Gems stay tier 1 Uncommon: Frenzy on Paladin/Engineer's weapons and offhands, Thickhide in body armor/legs, Onyx for Witch. Gems are optional; keep gold for rune unlocks first.

Passive path
The saved trees cover Lv30. Add one node per level for Lv31-39, in this order; Origin is free:
Paladin: 269 > 270 > 271 > 272 > 997 > 996 > 995 > 2030 > 354
Engineer: 975 > 974 > 169 > 170 > 171 > 144 > 2030 > 222 > 223
Witch: 339 > 340 > 341 > 342 > 343 > 344 > 345 > 346 > 347

Where to farm — Veil
Lv30: 10-1 | Lv31: 10-4 | Lv32: 10-7
Lv33-39: try 10-9. Its Lv33 normal monsters give ~50.47 XP each, with no overlevel XP penalty through Lv39. Early Breach has tougher monsters for ~30-35 XP each; push it for unlocks/loot, then compare XP/min before moving your farm.
Try each spot for a few minutes. Drop back 1-3 stages if clears slow down or you die. An XP pet helps if you already own one. This is a practical farm setup, not a measured win over the Mage version.
