About Economy and offline progress
Gold Find, XP Find, Drop Find, offline unlocks, efficiency, caps and mode boundaries.
Base attributes
Gold, experience and loot are different rewards
Gold pays for rune purchases, crafting and other gold-priced actions. Experience advances heroes. Drop Find modifies loot-related chances or timing rather than converting directly into extra gold or levels. Crystals are a separate shop currency, and Seals in the Bazaar belong to social purchases. Their uses should not be combined into one exchange rate.
The reviewed party economy parameters multiply gold per kill by 1 + Gold Find + the matching additional gold modifier and XP per kill by 1 + XP Find + the matching additional XP modifier. Drop chance receives its own 1 + Drop Find + additional drop modifier factor, capped at a chance of one. Other loot rules, such as guarantees and minimum intervals, are resolved separately. See Chests & loot for actual chances per chest and per equipment result.
Find bonuses can come from Codex runes, the active pet, equipment, buffs and other explicit effects. Read the unit on each source: a percentage modifier, a flat stat and a basis-point value are not interchangeable. Sale values, crafting costs, gold-priced House defaults and player market prices are separate tables. A static item value is not a live Market valuation.
Unlock offline rewards first
The native offline reward routine checks the offline rewards unlock from Rune of Repose in the Codex. Without that unlock, its gold and XP efficiencies are zero. The reviewed minimum absence is 60 seconds; a shorter absence is not credited by this routine. This is a reward gate, not evidence that the client must remain open for that minute.
After the unlock, the base efficiency for each reward is 25%. Gold-efficiency rune bonuses and XP-efficiency rune bonuses accumulate separately. Each is added to the base and clamped to the rune-efficiency cap of 75%. Bonuses from unlocked pets are then added after that clamp. The reviewed helper reads the unlocked pet set for these offline additions, so this differs from an ordinary active-pet combat bonus.
Gold efficiency = min(0.75, 0.25 + gold-efficiency rune sum) + unlocked-pet gold sum.
XP efficiency = min(0.75, 0.25 + XP-efficiency rune sum) + unlocked-pet XP sum.
The cap shown here applies to the base-plus-rune portion. It is not a blanket statement that every possible total, after pets, stops at 75%.
Time cap and what the catch-up calculation does
The base offline time cap is 8 hours. Purchased Codex glyphs that grant extra offline duration add their nonnegative time amounts to that base. Credited time is the lesser of time away and the resulting cap. These glyphs add duration; they do not add efficiency points.
The catch-up routine estimates kills using current party/stage combat parameters, converts whole ticks into kills, then applies separate gold and XP efficiencies. Gold is rounded down after multiplying gold per kill, credited kills and efficiency. XP is separately rounded down and then credited through the normal hero XP routine, including level-gap rules and the configured level cap. It is a reward calculation rather than a frame-by-frame replay of every animation or a guarantee of the same income as an arbitrary hour of active play.
If the enabled fallback-on-defeat option applies, the reviewed helper can move through a lower-stage fallback before obtaining its kill-rate estimate. Party composition, current stage, defeat state, unlocked runes and pets therefore affect the result. The routine does not imply that an offline absence creates arbitrary market sales or completed server activities.
Online mode and Offline mode
The Settings mode switch returns to the Online / Offline choice and reloads the game. Its native label explicitly states that Online and Offline progress are separate. Offline rewards while away from a game session and the game’s Offline mode are two different concepts. Server-controlled systems such as ranking, mail, market and clan activity still depend on their own online service state.
These rules come from the installed QuestAway 0.8.1 client, revision 6d1e887bd1c0, with shipped settings applied. Runtime balance and server-controlled availability can differ.
