QuestAway 0.8.1: Circle recycling, Market rules and House tools
Verified client changes: Circle salvage gold, gold-only Riftstones, House floor and full-screen tools, name privacy and Crystal Shop access.
The wiki now follows installed QuestAway 0.8.1, revision 6d1e887bd1c0, Steam build 26151803. This is a comparison of public client definitions and rule bodies with our 0.8.0 snapshot, rather than official developer patch notes.
Recycle Circle pieces for gold
Spare loose talismans, minor runes and major runes can now be recycled for gold. Remove an installed piece from the Circle first. The native salvage flow consumes the selected quantity from the bag and/or stash. The fallback gold return is the same for each piece kind at a given rarity:
| Rarity | Gold per piece |
|---|---|
| Rare | 2,000 gold |
| Heroic | 6,000 gold |
| Mythic | 20,000 gold |
| Legendary | 60,000 gold |
| Eternal | 200,000 gold |
The client accepts a configured recycling-price override. These are salvage returns, not Market prices. See Circle recycling.
Market currency restrictions
All Riftstones are now gold-only, including Abyss Riftstones. This replaces the previous last-map crystal-only exception. A consumable that increases random loot drops is also gold-only. These draw-related checks take precedence over rarity; ordinary eligible items keep the existing gold/crystal rarity rules. Market restrictions now explain these exceptions.
House building controls
A dedicated Floor tool lays flooring by clicking a square or dragging an area. It works on any storey; upstairs flooring needs no supporting wall or floor underneath. Erase can remove a square's flooring or clear walls, fences and flooring across an area. Full-screen controls now have separate enter and exit icons, with Esc to exit. The House guide includes the native new toolbar artwork.
Name privacy and the Crystal Shop
The hide-name option applies throughout the game, including announcements. Declining updated terms preserves existing crystals and the ability to spend them; buying more requires accepting the updated terms after restarting the game. Read name privacy and Crystal Shop access.
Catalog and build compatibility
The compared existing literal tables for classes, skills, equipment, gems, passive nodes, Codex, chest weights and progression remain unchanged after excluding version and source metadata. The catalog still includes 10 classes, 200 skills, 2,224 passive nodes and 355 Codex runes. Skill and passive point budgets retain the existing level rules. Existing party selections and IDs remain compatible.
Generated views and artwork were refreshed from the new executable. Server-controlled balances, offers and reward delivery may differ from client defaults. Previous 0.8.0 comparison and earlier update history remain available. Sources and version.
