QuestAway 1.0.5: Thorns, chest capacity and item restrictions
Reviewed client changes to Thorns, Collect & Deposit chest capacity, Market flags and Transmute inheritance.
This is a comparison of the installed QuestAway 1.0.5 client, revision 2ddc340cfd8c, Steam build 26263835, against 1.0.4. The public Steam announcement feed checked during the review still ended at 1.0.4, so these findings are client observations rather than an official developer changelog.
Thorns
The reviewed 1.0.5 client changes the Thorns-per-hit coefficient from 2 to 1. This is the client default coefficient before the surrounding combat calculation and any live overrides; the 1.0.4 statement that each hit returns double Thorns is historical.
Collect & Deposit and chest capacity
The chest-capacity helper now accepts the Collect & Deposit ownership flag. When it is enabled, Codex chest-capacity additions are omitted and the configured base capacities are used. The same helper feeds the encounter setup and act-boss chest-full check. Each omitted capacity slot becomes +1% Gold Find through the package conversion helper (for example, a +2-slot rune becomes +2% Gold Find). The two automation glyphs still grant +5% each and chest cooldown links +1% each. This does not remove inventory or stash capacity.
Market and Transmute flags
The tradability predicate now rejects equipment marked naoVaiAoMercado, in addition to locked or otherwise ineligible pieces. If any Transmute input is marked doMercado or naoVaiAoMercado, the output receives naoVaiAoMercado. The flag is also retained when a sealed transmutation is revealed.
Purchased equipment conversion now strips the old doMercado marker and sets naoVaiASteam. That Steam restriction and the separate in-game Market restriction are different flags; check each item's current in-game eligibility.
Mail and interface support
The reviewed mail-gift handler now recognizes Common, Stage Boss and Act Boss chest attachments with a supplied item level. Receiving gifts remains an online operation using a server-provided seed; this does not establish a player-to-player chest-sending feature. The client also adds explicit Transmute confirmations and restriction tooltips, and stores acknowledgement of the game rules of conduct.
Catalog comparison
All 154 other main tables are unchanged, including classes, skills and scaling coefficients, 2,224 passive nodes, 21 runewords, 24 gem bases, equipment bases, loot defaults, maps, and the shipped settings. The Codex still has 357 nodes. Identical tables do not prove that every runtime function is unchanged.
