Equipment, gems and runewords
Understand base affix pools, seven rarities and socket-specific gem combinations.
Bases and rolls
The equipment catalog describes item bases. A Blood Sword and a Prism Staff have different affix pools. Their final rolled stats depend on item level, rarity and balance settings.
Rarity
| Rarity | Maximum affixes | Stat multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 1 | ×1 |
| Uncommon | 2 | ×1.5 |
| Rare | 3 | ×2 |
| Heroic | 4 | ×2.5 |
| Mythic | 5 | ×3 |
| Legendary | 6 | ×3.5 |
| Eternal | 7 | ×4 |
Socket count is rounded from the slot's maximum × rarity tier / 6. Open any equipment base to preview all seven rarities and item levels.
Relative rarity weights are not final probabilities. Do not compare a single weight with 100: the eligible pool, luck and modifiers all affect the result.
Socket categories
Each gem has separate weapon, armor and accessory bonuses. Open a gem page before choosing a socket; the same gem can have a stronger effect in one category.
Runewords
Runewords require the listed gem combination in the right category. For example, Fortune combines two Topaz gems in accessory sockets. Compare the combination's final bonus with the gems and equipment you already own.
Crafting
The profession pages list each specialization and signature stat. Use those to decide which profession supports the item you want to make. Materials and potions have separate catalogs so consumable effects do not get mixed with permanent equipment stats.
Values describe the 0.7.3 beta client. Runtime balance settings and server-controlled availability or prices may differ.
